My my My my

Thank you for your interest in playing softball with NVGSA!

While we all continue to navigate the COVID-19 virus situation, NVGSA is preparing for the Spring 2021 season.  We have opened Registration with the intention of determining interest in returning to play.  At this point, you are able to register but no fees are being collected.  Once NVGSA determines our plans, you will have the opportunity to submit your registration payment or withdraw if you’d prefer to be removed.  We will be providing updates as they become available.

Below, you will be able to register your daughter for NVGSA’s 6U, 8U, 19U, 12U, and 18U girls’ softball leagues.  League Age is measured from the child's age on January 1 of the current year.  So, if your daughter turned 9 on January 2, and was still 8 on January 1, her league age is 8 for the current year and she is eligible for 8U Coach Pitch Division play this season.

NVGSA strongly discourages members to not "Play Up" into a higher age division.  The age divisions and rules are developed and designed to foster both the physical skill set and the mental growth of all players.  While exceptions are made in special circumstances, we believe that playing at your age level not only makes our daughters better players over the long term, but also raises the level of play within each age division.

Multi-player Family Discounts - NVGSA offers discounts if you plan on registering multiple family members.  The first child is full price, subsequent family members each receive a $25 discount.  The discount will be applied to your account balance automatically once multiple registrations are submitted.

2021 Dimensions - Spring Interest

NVGSA is pleased to offer our 10U, 12U, and 18U house players even more opportunity to take the field under the Dimensions program.  The Dimensions program is offered as an augmentation program for NVGSA’s traditional House league.

By registering via the below link, your daughter's name will be added to a list of players that have expressed interest in playing Dimensions this season.  As the season approaches, the appropriate age groups' coach will reach out to notify you of the selection process for this season.  We expect that the cost for the season will be about $100 though no charges will be applied until the roster is finalized.

Please remember that the goals for our Dimensions teams are to:

1. Allow selected NVGSA house players from across the league an opportunity to play on the field with one another irrespective of regular house team or geographic divisions (east/west).

2. Allow selected NVGSA players additional time to play at a competitive level against teams from across Northern Virginia, primarily in Fairfax and Arlington counties.

3. Introduce selected NVGSA house players to a higher level of competitive play as a gauge for potential travel level participation with the NVGSA Firebirds, if interested.

4. Raise the overall level of play within the regular NVGSA House program by giving players extra opportunities to advance their skills.
