Why Coach Dimensions?

"Coaching a Dimensions team is a great opportunity to get a sample of what competitive/travel softball looks like without having to commit the same amount of time associated with travel softball as Dimensions has no weekday practices, only doubleheaders on Sundays.  Not only do the girls who are playing Dimensions show improvement in the NVGSA house program, but you as the coach get more game experience which helps with developing practice plans and how to handle in-game situations.  Plus, you get the best seat in the house during the games!"
--Chris Richardson, former NVGSA House and Dimensions coach, current Firebirds assistant coach

Teen Umpire Signups

Fall 2025 - Teen Umpires

Welcome to the 2025 Fall 10U Teen Umpires Registration with NVGSA!

NVGSA utilizes teen umpires for our 10U games.  This is an excellent opportunity for teens age 14 and up who love the game and wish to participate in a new and unique way. Umpiring will deepen their own understanding of and broaden their experiences with the game (not to mention they will make some cash or earn some community service hours). All of our teen umpires are carefully selected and undergo a mandatory training regime.

Registration is required, click the link below to complete the registration form. After submitting your registration form you will receive additional instructions and a list of items to bring to training.
Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

Open Committee Positions

To apply for any of our open positions, please email to express your interest. Thank you for your willingness to support girls' softball!

Field Director - East

NVGSA field directors regularly visit each of our fields to ensure that they are properly maintained and have all needed equipment present and in working order. The field director works with the equipment manager to make sure that chalk and liners are at all fields where we play games. He or she also works with the board to ensure any field issues that the county needs to address are being raised. This position covers our fields on the west side, in the Alexandria area (Clermont Park, Wilton Woods, and nearby). This important oversight role ensures that our teams can keep practicing and playing games as much as possible. This role may easily be split among multiple volunteers.

Uniform Coordinator

The uniform coordinator works with commissioners to receive coach contact information. The coordinator provides all head coaches with a form to indicate color preferences. Then the coordinator assigns colors to teams. After colors are assigned the coordinator receives a report of all registered player team assignments and jersey sizes. The coordinator orders jerseys for each player from our vendor in the correct color, as well as extra jerseys to allow for late sign-ups. When the order is received from our vendor, the coordinator sorts the uniforms into bags by team, then notifies the coaches that they are available for pick-up. All work occurs between when team notifications begin and the first game.

Awards Coordinator

The awards coordinator receives a report of all players in divisions which receive participation awards by color and provides an order to our vendor for each player with appropriate information identifying the team. The coordinator then sorts awards by team and notifies commissioners that they are available for distribution. In spring the coordinator is also responsible for ordering champion and runner-up awards for each of our player pitch divisions, with enough to give to each girl on the largest team in the division as well as coaches. This work is a few hours towards the end of each season.

Volunteer Coordinator

The volunteer coordinator assists the board in identifying appropriate volunteers for board and committee chair roles.

Other Roles

Every season NVGSA needs many coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, and other helpers. Volunteering for these roles takes place during registration and can be done below during times when registration in open. You may contact the appropriate age-group commissioner for more information. In addition if you see a position of need within NVGSA which is not listed above, please email us.
