This work generally happens in the last month and a half of each season and does not require a large time investment.

League Spirit Wear Coordinator

League Picture Day Coordinator

Coordinate with our photo vendor and league scheduler to find the proper date for pictures. Coordinate distribution of printed pictures to families.

Field Director - West

NVGSA field directors regularly visit each of our fields to ensure that they are properly maintained and have all needed equipment present and in working order. The field director works with the equipment manager to make sure that chalk and liners are at all fields where we play games. He or she also works with the board to ensure any field issues that the county needs to address are being raised. This position covers our fields on the west side, in the Burke/Springfield/Annandale area (Wakefield Forest Elementary School, Kings Park Park, Wakefield Park as allocated, Lake Braddock SS as allocated, and nearby). This important oversight role ensures that our teams can keep practicing and playing games as much as possible. This role may easily be split among multiple volunteers.

Why Coach Dimensions?

"Coaching a Dimensions team is a great opportunity to get a sample of what competitive/travel softball looks like without having to commit the same amount of time associated with travel softball as Dimensions has no weekday practices, only doubleheaders on Sundays.  Not only do the girls who are playing Dimensions show improvement in the NVGSA house program, but you as the coach get more game experience which helps with developing practice plans and how to handle in-game situations.  Plus, you get the best seat in the house during the games!"
--Chris Richardson, former NVGSA House and Dimensions coach, current Firebirds assistant coach
